How to Clean Up Mould
Safety should be your priority when you clean a mould-affected area. Be sure to wear a respirator and proper gloves. The first step is to vacuum up the mould spores with a HEPA filter vacuum. Then, wipe the area clean with the microfibre cloth and vinegar solution or methylated spirits. Be sure not to cross-contaminate by putting dirty clothes back in the clean solution.
Maintain Your Clean Surfaces
To prevent mould from growing back, you should ensure that wet surfaces are dried after each use. Make sure that your exhaust fan is left on for at least 10 minutes after a shower to remove the wet, hot air.
